The City of Ottawa is advising residents and motorists that beginning on Monday, May 13, the Highway 417 eastbound on- and off-ramps at Parkdale avenue will be closed for infrastructure improvements. These closures are for repair and maintenance on the retaining and noise barrier walls.

The eastbound ramp closures at Parkdale Avenue are as follows:

  • Off-ramp re-opens on or around Tuesday, May 28
  • On-ramp re-opens on or around Sunday, August 25

Please note that the on- and off-ramps have different closure periods. For access to Parkdale Avenue from Highway 417 during the closure of the off-ramp, motorists can take exits 124 (Carling Avenue) or 121B (Rochester Street). For access to Highway 417 during the closure of the on-ramp, motorists can follow detour signage via Carling and Bronson Avenues towards the Isabella Street on-ramp.

The following maps illustrate the detours that will be in place for access to Parkdale Avenue during the length of the closures.
