Guido Correa – Connections

June 13 to August 20, 2024

Vernissage: Thursday, June 13, 2024, 5:30 to 7:30 pm

As an artist, art instructor, and architecture designer, I am a constant observer of people, places and landscapes. My artwork focuses on the intersections between visual arts, natural sciences, social issues and community. I have held art shows in Colombia, Spain and Canada, my three homes so far.

This project highlights the inter-connectivity of trees, their intricate, subterranean bonds, and the key role of mother trees. It reveals forests as complex ecosystems based on actual communication, collaboration and intelligent social behaviours. Ultimately, it aims to point out the idea of inter-dependence and community.

Sylvie Grenier - Ephemera

April 4 to June 11, 2024

Vernissage: Thursday, April 4, 5:30 to 7:30 pm

Ephemera explores the passage of time and the transient nature of everything that surround us from materials to memories. Even in a fragile state, lifeforms possess beauty and rich textures that offer extraordinary moments of poetry. The exhibit offers a form of visual meditation on the notion of passage and becoming.

Sylvie Grenier has always demonstrated a strong visual sense, in her career as an urban planner and now as a painter. Her paintings are found in many private collections. She participated in artist residencies in France, Iceland and Spain and received grants from the City of Ottawa and the Ontario Arts Council.
