PROJET DE LOI 51 – DEMANDES REFUSÉES ET DÉCLARATION PRÉLIMINAIRE DEVANT LE COMITÉ.

ACS2007-CRS-LEG-0002

The Manager, Planning and Environment Law, Mr. Tim Marc, gave a detailed presentation on Planning and Conservation Land Statute Law Amendment Act, 2006, (Bill 51) which came into force on 1 January 2007.  He indicated that, while the Act amends a number of provisions in the Planning Act and other legislation, his presentation would focus on two matters that will impact Committee and Council, i.e., refusals of development applications by Committee and Council and the Statement which should be read out at the commencement of the Planning and Environment and Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee meetings.

Mr. Marc subsequently answered questions of clarification from committee members.

That the Planning and Environment Committee and the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee recommend Council receive this report for information.
