That Council approve that $8.9M (66%) of the $13.5 M be allocated to the
OCHC with the remaining $4.6M (34%) allocated to the 53 other social housing on
a proportional basis for the repair and renewal of existing social housing in
keeping with the formula staff articulated to Council during budget
deliberations.

Provincial Infrastructure Renewal Funding allocated to the City) be used for
the repair and renewal of existing social housing.
AND WHEREAS
Ottawa Community Housing Corporation
(OCHC) has the largest proportion of the City's social housing stock
THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED that $8.9M (66%) of the $13.5 M be allocated to the OCHC with the
remaining $4.6M (34%) allocated to the 53 other social housing on a
proportional basis for the repair and renewal of existing social housing in
keeping with the formula staff articulated to Council during budget
deliberations.

supportive of this technical motion that formalizes information verbally provided
to Council during budget deliberations and which has also been communicated to
impacted stakeholder groups.

There are no legal and/or risk implications associated with this report.
FINANCIAL
IMPLICATIONS
The $13.5 M of the $77 M in Provincial Infrastructure Renewal Funding allocated to
the City is available for the repair and renewal of existing social housing.
Staff will take the appropriate action following Council’s decision.
