4.         CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF POLICE BOARDS ANNUAL CONFERENCE :  ATTENDANCE

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the attendance of Chair El-Chantiry and Member Doyle at the 2013 Canadian Association of Police Boards’ Conference being held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan from 15 – 17 August 2013.

5.       CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF POLICE BOARDS’ ANNUAL CONFERENCE: REQUEST FOR SPONSORSHIP

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve a sponsorship contribution of $1,000 to the Canadian Association of Police Boards (CAPB) for its 2013 Annual Conference being held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan from August 15-17, 2013.

6.        NEW APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL CONSTABLES – CARLETON UNIVERSITY

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the appointment of Michael Radcliffe and Shawn Sauve as Special Constables with Carleton University, pursuant to Section 53 of the Police Services Act, in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the attached Approval of Appointment form.

7.        NEW APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL CONSTABLES – OTTAWA POLICE SERVICE

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve the appointment of Andre Boisvert, Daniel McGahey, Christopher Klopfer and Trevor Butler as Special Constables, pursuant to Section 53 of the Police Services Act, in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the attached Approval of Appointment form.

8.        OTTAWA POLICE VENTURERS “ADVENTUROUS JOURNEY” - REQUEST FOR FUNDING

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve a donation in the amount of $500 to assist twenty-four Ottawa Police Venturers in participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award ‘Adventurous Journey’.

NOTICE OF MOTION

 

15.     NOTICE OF MOTION REGARDING 2014 BUDGET GUIDELINES (TO BE CONSIDERED AT 24 JUNE 2013 MEETING)

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve that the 2014 Ottawa Police Service Operating and Capital Budgets be developed to result in a recommended tax increase of no more than 2%.

 

 

ADOPTION OF BY-LAWS

 

16.     BY-LAW TO AMEND THE FALSE ALARM REDUCTION BY-LAW OF THE OTTAWA POLICE SERVICES BOARD

 

 

That the Ottawa Police Services Board approve Ottawa Police Services Board By-law No. 1 of 2013, being a by-law to amend Section 12 of By-law #1 of 2010 entitled “A by-law of the City of Ottawa Police Services Board establishing a system for the registration of security alarm systems and reduction of false alarms” by striking out the expression “One Hundred and Thirty Dollars ($130.00)” where it occurs therein and substituting the expression “One Hundred and Thirty-Five Dollars ($135.00)” therefor.
