Several reports will come forward in Q3 2011
       
Development of an Emergency Heritage Preservation Protocol  14-Apr-09 D. Per the motion, staff will be reporting back with a recommended enforcement protocol resource requirements for the implementation and enforcement of the new standards. Report scheduled for CPS in Q1 2011.
Complete: Rec 4 Building Code Services established an Emergency Heritage Preservation Protocol.    
In Progress: Rec 5 with respect to a plan to acquire endangered designated heritage property where Council has deemed the preservation of the designated building to be of sufficient cultural heritage value to necessitate intervention, and on the requisite capital funding to enable the acquisition, rehabilitation and development of such properties, is under review by the REPDO and a report will be brought forward for Council's consideration in 2011.

Direction to Staff - That PGM and Legal Services staff outline changes to Section 34 of the Planning Act which allow municipalities to pass zoning by-laws with conditions and recommend what the “prescribed conditions” should be to allow PEC and Council to exercise this new authority. 22-Sep-09   http://ottawa.ca/calendar/ottawa/citycouncil/pec/2009/09-22/englishdisposition60.htm ISCS - PGM In Progress: Section 34 (15) enables Council to prescribe conditions relating to zoning, but in order to do that, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing must make a regulation for this purpose, and that has yet to occur.  When the Ministry creates this regulation, Council will be empowered to utilize the conditional zoning authority of Section 34 (15).  At that time, staff will report to Committee and Council with a recommendation on the means to implement this authority within that regulation. An IPD is scheduled for Q2 2011        
The PGM staff work jointly with the developers of the Fernbank lands to explore state of the art technologies and principles relating to waste. 13-Oct-09 S. Direction to Staff - That staff in Community Sustainability Services examine best practices from other municipalities with regards to sustainable decision-making and triple bottom line approaches. 10-Nov-09 D. Motion -  That staff ensure that the question of parking standards in Stittsville is before Planning and Environment Committee, with the requisite consultation and public notice, no later than the first meeting of Committee in May 2011, such that a new by-law, as Council deems appropriate, can be enacted prior to June 25, 2011. 27-Apr-10 S. Motion - Standard Subdivision Agreement - Gateway Features: That staff bring back a policy discussion coming back to PEC and Council on how to fund Gateway Features, and that staff be authorized to amend the Agreement and Conditions based on Council’s policy discussion.  27-Apr-10 D. Motion - Standard Subdivision Agreement - Parkland Component - That prior to the issue of the Parkland Component proceeding to a hearing, staff provide an update to Committee and Council. 27-Apr-10 G. That PEC direct the City Forester and City Clerk and Solicitor, jointly and in consultation with the City’s Forest and Greenspace Advisory Committee, to conduct a comprehensive review of By-Law 2006-279 to ensure that it strikes the appropriate balance between promoting the environmental stewardship values reflected in the City’s Forest Strategy while respecting the rights of other property owners and to report back to the Committee by the end of May 2011 with any recommended by-law amendments 25-May-10 D. That the rezoning in respect of 90 & 114 Richmond Road and 380 Leighton Terrace be referred back to staff in consultation with the ward councillor and relevant community representatives, to be determined by the ward councillor, with the direction that a by-law and agreement be brought forward pursuant to the Planning Act, section 37 providing for services, facilities and other matters in return for the increases in height and density to be submitted to PEC on November 16, 2010. 28-Sep-10 D.
