Exterior view of the Supreme Court of Canada, built in Art Deco design in 1939.

(1939) The Court's distinguished presence is emphasized by its massive scale and commanding Grand Entrance Hall. Architect Ernest Cormier's Art Deco design enhances the natural beauty of the exquisite woods and marble interior. After delays during WWII, the Court took possession of the building in 1946. Only the Grand Entrance and courtroom will be open. Photography restrictions.
