Job Summary

Perform the surveillance necessary to prevent accidents by administering policies, procedures, rules and regulations governing the conduct of patrons using the pool and perform rescues and first aid necessary for the preservation of life in a team setting.

Education & Experience

Grade 10

Minimum age requirement is 16 years of age

*Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.

Language, Certificates & Licenses

English oral, reading, writing
French oral, reading, writing is considered an asset
Current National Lifeguard Pool Option
Current Lifesaving Instructor
Current Standard 1st Aid/CPR "C"/Automated External Defibrillator
AODA Accessibility for ALL
Current Oxygen Therapy or LSS Airway Management
Current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
Vulnerable Sector Check
Note: Under the age of 18, requires a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters check in place of the Vulnerable Sector Check.
