MA: Residents invited to swap four wheels for two during bike ride celebrating World Car Free Day

Ottawa – Ottawa Board of Health member Councillor David Chernushenko and Associate Medical Officer of Health Dr. Vera Etches will officially launch Ottawa Public Health’s Adopt a Helmet Week as they take part in a community bike ride in celebration of World Car Free Day.

Date: September 22, 2012

Time: 9:30 a.m.

Location: Brewer Park Pavillion near the entrance at Ossington Street

Ottawa Public Health will be on-site promoting Adopt a Helmet Week. From September 24 to 30, local retailers will offer discounts of 20 per cent or more on helmets of all kinds.
