Ottawa – The City of Ottawa wishes to notify residents that the swimming pools at the Brewer Complex and the Pinecrest Recreation Centre are closed for necessary maintenance. The pool at the Pinecrest Recreation Centre is expected to reopen in November 2012 and the pool at the Brewer Complex is expected to reopen in early 2013. The arena, fitness rooms and community space at the Pinecrest Recreation Centre remain open.

The City of Ottawa is undertaking this work proactively to ensure these facilities are safe and fit-for-purpose to support the delivery of services.

All programming at both pools is cancelled until the facilities reopen. For participants in the current swimming sessions, a credit for the full value of the lessons will automatically be returned to your City of Ottawa family account. The credit can be used to register in the next sessions of lessons or applied to any recreation programming offered by the City of Ottawa. If a refund is required, please contact the facility to arrange for a refund for the remaining lessons. Participants in aquafitness classes can choose to use their membership pass at another facility or can request a membership suspension, refund or credit.

The City of Ottawa apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused. Residents are encouraged to visit ottawa.ca for other nearby pool locations as well as other classes and activities offered by the City of Ottawa.
