Ottawa’s street food vending program

Food carts and trucks serving classic street food favourites have been a part of Ottawa’s streetscape for years. In 2012, City Council approved the New Street Food Vending Program to encourage new, convenient and culturally diverse fare on City streets.

With the addition of the new vendors in 2013, there are now approximately 60 street food vendors operating on Ottawa's streets. From oriental cuisine to Mexican treats, seasonal creations to sustainable seafood, these new vendors will complement the existing mix of street foods vendors and satisfy the diverse appetites of residents and tourists alike.

You can find out more about each street food vendor by clicking the links below to visit their websites and social media outlets. Please contact the vendor directly with operation-related inquiries.

Thank you for your interest in street food vending in Ottawa. The deadline to apply for one of the available designated space permits was on Monday, December 15, 2014. No extensions are possible. The new vendors will be announced in early 2015!
