Notice is being provided to the public that an application has been submitted to name a private road and to assign civic numbers to the adjacent residential units.

Proposed Roadway Modifications

Pursuant to By-law No. 2011–122, the City of Ottawa is providing notice to the public of its intention to approve road modifications at the following locations in accordance with the authority under By-law No. 2011-28:

Ste. Cecile Street from Beechwood Avenue to Des Peres-Blancs Avenue

  • Bulb-outs at Beechwood Avenue, Genest Street and Des Peres-Blancs Avenue
  • Concrete sidewalk on the south side from Genest Street to Ste. Monique Street
  • Concrete sidewalks on both sides from Ste. Monique Street to Des Peres-Blancs Avenue

Joliett Avenue from Beechwood Avenue to Des Peres-Blancs Avenue

  • Bulb-out at Des Peres-Blancs Avenue

Lavergne Street from Garneau Street to Ste. Monique Street

  • Concrete sidewalk on the east and south side

Montfort Street from Baribeau Street to Hannah Street

  • Concrete sidewalks on both sides

Perrier Avenue from Lavergne Street to Duford Street

  • Concrete sidewalk on the east and south side

  • New southbound right-turn lane on Strandherd Drive at the proposed access

Terry Fox Drive and Castlefrank Road

  • Extension of Abbott Street to Terry Fox Drive
  • New southbound right-turn lane on Terry Fox Drive at Castlefrank Road
  • New northbound left-turn lane on Terry Fox Drive at Castlefrank Road
  • Cycling cross ride on the west side of the Terry Fox Drive/ Castlefrank Road intersection

Proposed Roadway Modifications

Pursuant to By-law No. 2011–122, the  City of Ottawa is providing notice to the public of its intention to approve road modifications at the following locations in accordance with the authority under By-law No. 2011-28:

Gardenway Drive from Thicket Way to Paradise Crescent East

  • New concrete sidewalk on the south side of Gardenway Drive.
  • Relocate the curb at both ends of the new sidewalk and realign to match the existing curb in between.
  • Upgrade the existing asphalt bus pads to concrete bench pads and install new bench pads.

Proposed Street Closure

Section of Bayview Road, which is currently an unopened road allowance

The Council of the City of Ottawa proposes to close a portion of a section of Bayview Road.

The purpose of the street closure application is housekeeping in nature to close an untraveled portion of Bayview Road which is located on the Tom Brown Arena property. The portion of the road that is proposed to be closed is currently landscaped with a portion containing some surface parking. No physical changes to the property are proposed.

The Planning Committee will hear, in person or by counsel or agent, any person who applies to be heard concerning this closure. If you have objections, please contact in writing the undersigned on or before November 10, 2016.
