Correction to the Spelling of Private Road Names

Notice is being provided to the public of corrections to the official spelling of six existing private road names. Three of the changes affect the English spelling of the names and are noted below.

Current names: D'Erable Place, Des Forets Avenue, La Cite Private
Proposed corrected spellings: Érable Place, Forêts Avenue, La Cité Private

Reason for corrections:

These names are missing articles, accents or have incorrect capitalization. These changes are part of the City's Street Name Verification Project, one of the post-amalgamation initiatives to resolve street name anomalies.
Any objections to the proposed corrections should be submitted in writing to the address below by mail, Fax or e-mail by September 28, 2016 and should state specifically why they do not satisfy the requirements of Addressing By-law 2014-78 with respect to efficient wayfinding and public safety.
