Upper Concourse Walter Baker Centre, 100 Malvern Drive

The City of Ottawa invites you to an opportunity to review the design of the new Barrhaven Railway multi-use pathway. City staff will be available during Councillor Jan Harder’s Spring Open House to speak about the design and construction plans.

Why:  The City of Ottawa will be constructing a new multi-use pathway (MUP) from Greenbank Road to the Antler-Dolan underpass pathway, approximately 700 meters west.

What: This project will provide a paved multi-use pathway from the Antler-Dolan railway underpass to Greenbank Road.  The MUP will be built within a strip of City-owned land immediately south of the VIA rail corridor.  This corridor is adjacent to homes on Glacier Street, Antler Street and Sunridge Lane. The proposal also includes a connection from this new pathway to Glacier Street through a parcel of land located at 47 Glacier Street.

When: The City plans to complete the design of the MUP in 2016 to allow for construction to be complete during 2016, pending approvals.

Where: The MUP will be built along the south side of the VIA rail corridor, within a 15 meter wide strip of land owned by the City of Ottawa, as shown below:
