Miscellaneous Surface Drainage Improvements West: Constance Bay


Project description

The Constance Bay project is part of a Program that completes miscellaneous surface drainage improvements at nine locations in the western sector of Ottawa. The project described on this page consists of the construction of new ditches in Constance Bay at four locations:

  1. Bayview Drive south of Bishop Davis Drive to Ottawa River via Sixth Avenue
  2. Bishop Davis Drive from Bayview Drive to Lane Street to Ottawa River
  3. Sunning Hill Crescent and Stiver Road to Ottawa River including Bayview Drive intersection
  4. Len Purcell Drive from Baldwin Street to Ottawa River including Bayview Drive Intersection  

This project is a ditch / culvert design and construction project to address surface drainage deficiencies at priority locations in Constance Bay. Excavation trenches across the road, through driveway entrances and along shoulders to construct the drainage network will be reinstated in the construction area as warranted.


Design completion:                         2015
Construction start:                          Late Summer and Fall 2015
Anticipated Construction completion:  late Fall 2016
