The next regular municipal election to elect a Mayor, City Councillors, and school board Trustees will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018.
Nomination Papers will be available online and at the City of Ottawa's Elections Office at 1221 Cyrville Road, Unit B, from Tuesday, May 1, 2018.
The deadline for candidates to submit their Nomination Papers is Friday, July 27, 2018 at 2 P.M.

Changes to the Municipal Elections Act
Municipal elections in all Ontario municipalities, including the City of Ottawa, are governed by the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (the “MEA”). On June 9, 2016, the Municipal Elections Modernization Act, 2016, or Bill 181, received Royal Assent, making a number of changes to the MEA.
