AccessAbility Day 2011

The City of Ottawa held its eighth annual AccessAbility Day on December 9, 2011 at City Hall with discussion and consultation with persons living with disabilities, service providers and members of the general public.

In addition to entertainment and a keynote address by Paralympic medalist Chelsea Lariviere, this year’s event featured a consultation component which asked participants to share their experiences and feedback on the accessibility of City services in three areas: Information and Communication Supports, Employment, and Transportation.

Feedback collected at the sessions and afterward will help inform future City accessibility priorities.

Thank you to all those who helped make the day a success.
