Councillor Tim Tierney

Ward 11 Beacon Hill-Cyrville

Tim Tierney, a long-time resident of Beacon Hill-Cyrville, has been active in ensuring his community continues to grow and thrive as an integral part of Ottawa. His dedicated commitment to Beacon Hill-Cyrville includes many years of volunteering for a variety of local development projects, sports and recreational groups, schools, social services, and community betterment organizations.

With an education in Business Administration/Information Systems, Tim has a strong background in both business and technology which he has and continues to apply throughout his career.

Born in 1974, the son of Allan Tierney and Shirley Lavergne, he has been a resident of Beacon Hill for more than sixteen years. Tim enthusiastically participates in, and is a staunch advocate of recreational, social, health, and beautification neighborhood programs.

Councillor Tierney is a member of the Transit Commission, Transportation Committee, Chair of the Information Technology Sub-Committee, Ottawa Public Library Board, Ottawa Community Housing Corporation, and Pineview Municipal Golf Course Board of Management.

Tim spends his time in Beacon Hill-Cyrville with his wife Jenny, and children Crystal, Keely, and Liam.
