Rink of Dreams

Status: CLOSED

The Rink of Dreams is a 12,500-square-foot refrigerated ice surface located on Marion Dewar Plaza at Ottawa City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West.

The surface will be available for skating from November to March. The Rink of Dreams change hut will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

  • The rink may be closed due to inclement weather or for special events. Visit the City’s website for regular updates.

    Construction of the Rink of Dreams was funded by the Sens Foundation, Hockey Canada and the City of Ottawa along with local partners and construction companies.

Sports Hall of Fame and City Hall Art Gallery

During your visit to City Hall, consider visiting Ottawa’s Sports Hall of Fame or the City Hall Gallery.

The Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame is located on the first floor of the Heritage Building. It is open to the public seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free.

The City Hall Gallery is located on the main floor of City Hall and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.

The Rink of Dreams will be unavailable for public skating between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, due to a special event associated with Winterlude. Be sure to come back in the afternoon!

A crowd of City of Ottawa, Ottawa Senators and Hockey Canada officials cut the ribbon at Rink of  Dreams.
