Trees and community forests
The City of Ottawa owns and maintains over 330,000 street and park trees. Forestry Services is responsible for all City-owned trees along our streets, parks, ravines, woodlots, and community forests.
Our goal is to preserve, maintain and enhance forest cover in the Nation’s Capital. This is accomplished through tree planting, maintenance, and community forest management programs. Forestry Services also develops and manages tree preservation/protection policies and programs and provides reliable information to the public about our City’s trees. Be involved in beautifying the City.
