arts instructors

Arts instructors

Arts centre courses are taught by artists. These teachers are specialists in their particular discipline or medium with fine arts degrees, exhibitions or performance experience to their credit. They bring such experience as a performance background with a professional dance company, symphony orchestra or jazz ensemble, or they may have published articles or books or have experience in spoken word performance. They may be professional actors or theatre technicians, painters, potters, singers and teachers.

Our partners deliver formal training in ballet and music.

Bells Corners Academy of Music, a non-profit and education registered music school provides musical activities that appeal to beginners, music enthusiasts and students preparing for a professional career in music. The school offers a broad selection of instrumental, vocal and theoretical courses, as well as ensemble playing, concert performance experience, and preparation for competitions and exams.

Les Petits Ballets, founded in 1976, is a registered non-profit organization run by a volunteer board of directors. Les Petits Ballets performs full-length ballets which blends professional guest dancers with young local talent. In association with the City of Ottawa, Les Petits Ballets offers recreational instruction in ballet and creative dance at the Nepean Creative Arts Centre and locations throughout Ottawa.
