A number of projects scheduled to begin next week will have impacts on traffic in Ottawa:
- Ottawa Regional Road 174 – Lane reductions in both directions of Ottawa Regional Road 174, between Trim Road and Quigley Hill Road, will be in place until Friday, August 4 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. while culvert work takes place.
- Ottawa Regional Road 174 – Ottawa Regional Road 174, between Cameron Street and Trim Road, will be closed beginning on Friday, August 4 at 10 p.m. until Monday, August 7 at noon, for private development work.
- Richmond Road – Beginning on Monday, July 31 lane reductions on Richmond Road, between Holly Acres/Nanaimo Drive and Robertson Road /Baseline Road will be in effect while MTO performs rehabilitation work on the bridge over Highway 416. The eastbound lane reduction will be in place daily, all day except during the morning peak traffic hours of 6 to 9 a.m. while the westbound lanes will be reduced throughout the work, except during the afternoon peak traffic hours of 3 to 6 p.m., until the end of August.
Significant traffic and transit impacts resulting from special events, including La Machine in downtown Ottawa, may also cause delays in travel. Residents and visitors should visit the City’s website for more information to plan routes to attend these events or to avoid impacted areas.
