Important collection schedule changes
Household waste collection has changed. The city now collects solid waste (garbage) from residents who receive curbside and common pad collection every two weeks.

1. Bi-weekly collection
Your household garbage is now collected with your blue box every two weeks. Check your Collection Calendar to confirm your collection schedule.
2. New collection days
Your collection day may have changed. Confrm your collection day by checking the Collection Calendar.
3. Green bin
Year-round weekly pick of the green bin will continue. Get the most of out of your green bin by putting the most into your green bin. Find tips for using your green bin every day.
Making full use of the green bin is the easiest way to adjust to bi-weekly garbage collection. You can place out an unlimited amount of recycling each collection day. Find out more about the City’s solid waste services:

Household Hazardous Waste
If it’s corrosive, flammable or poisonous it’s hazardous waste. These types of products contaminate water and landfills and should never be poured down the drain or put out with your regular garbage. Take it to one of our special depots.
