Financial assistance

There are financial assistance programs available to help Canadian parents.

• The Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB) is a tax-free monthly payment made to eligible families to help them with the cost of raising children under age 18.
• A Child Care Subsidy is available to parents living in Ottawa who are working, or looking for work, and need financial help.
