The purpose of an area traffic management study is to minimize the negative impacts of traffic on neighbourhood streets. For example, speed humps and road narrowings may be used to address speeding and excessive cut-through traffic.
The study limits for the McKellar Park / Highland Park / Westboro Area Traffic Management Study extended from Carling Avenue to Richmond Road/Byron Avenue and from Sherbourne Road to Kirkwood Avenue.
The recommendations of this plan are focused on providing visual cues to motorists about being in a residential area driving accordingly and about facilitating pedestrian crossing movements.
