The City engages in many activities related to the naming of streets or private roadways, changing their names and the review of existing names to ensure accuracy and safety. The original project, to eliminate duplicate street names, was undertaken to avoid potential confusion created by the duplication of street names with the amalgamation of the former municipalities into one city. This site has been expanded to ensure public awareness of municipal addressing related projects and issues involving public consultation and notification.
