Types of aquafitness classes:

The terms “deep”, “shallow” or “combo” will be added to the class names by individual pools to indicate general pool depth.

Aqua- General:

A general aquafit class designed as a medium intensity total body workout, providing a balance of cardiovascular as well as muscular strength and endurance components. A great introduction program offering easy choreography and lots of options for intensity.

Aqua- TMC:

A medium to high intensity muscle focused class. This program uses the water as the primary training tool with the option of using props for building muscular strength and endurance. All major muscle groups will be targeted providing a total body workout experience.

Aqua- Turbo:

A high intensity class! It focuses on building cardiovascular strength and endurance through challenging routines of intervals and higher intensity options. You will keep your heart rate and pace up throughout the class and learn to train in both aerobic and anaerobic zones. Provides a definite challenge for veterans and avid participants.

Aqua- Lite:

A low intensity program designed to meet the needs of varied clients; retired adults, arthritic sufferers and individuals with non-specific back or joint difficulties. A low impact total body workout that offers a blend of cardiovascular as well as muscular strength and endurance training combined with specific attention to core stabilization and relaxation techniques.

Aqua- Zumba:

Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, the Aqua Zumba class blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.
