Country Club Village and Highway 7
Notice of Completion of Environmental Study Report The City of Ottawa has completed an Environmental Study Report (ESR), which examined future local road access between Dwyer Hill Road and Jinkinson Road in the vicinity of Country Club Village and the Canadian Golf & Country Club. The study recommended the construction of a 2km road, extending west from Jinkinson Road along the south side of Highway 7 connecting to a service road planned as part of the Highway 7 expansion project. The ESR describes the purpose, rationale, recommended plan, and mitigation measures for the study. This project was initiated to follow either a Schedule "B" or Schedule "C" project in accordance with the Municipal Engineers Association Class Environmental Assessment Study for Municipal Roads, 2000. Based on the study recommendations it has been completed as a Schedule "C" project and an ESR has been prepared for public review. Consultation in the form of Technical Advisory Committee meetings, Public Advisory Committee meetings, Public Open Houses, landowner/business meetings and presentations to the City of Ottawa's Transportation Committee formed an integral part of the assessment process. This afforded those who might be affected by the proposed roadway with opportunities to influence its planning.
