For more information, contact publicartprogram@ottawa.ca As part of the Bank Street North Rehabilitation project, the City of Ottawa has commissioned artists to design bicycle rack panels to be produced and installed on Bank Street between Laurier Avenue and the Queensway. ![]() Artists were asked to submit a graphically strong line drawing that will become the artwork for a series of steel bicycle racks. A selection committee chose 30 exceptional drawings by 27 local artists. Each artwork will be produced three times to total 90 public art bike racks that will be installed on Bank Street. The bike racks will be installed in stages with the first 30 scheduled to go up the fall of 2008. The chosen bike rack designs are shown below.
