Assessment Criteria


Eligible Groups

To receive funding from CEPGP, your group or organization must be based in Ottawa, and must adhere to not-for-profit principles. Eligible groups include community associations, community groups, youth groups, school clubs, and industry and trade associations.

Project Requirements

The project clearly identifies potential environmental benefits for the City in the areas of water efficiency, solid-waste diversion, wastewater, the water environment sustainable development and broader climate issues and has an evaluation plan to measure effectiveness.

Project focus

Your environment project clearly demonstrates new or innovative ways of achieving the environmental goals of the City.

Community collaboration

All team members have agreed upon your project's mandate and are prepared to work in collaboration with City-related environmental initiatives.

Duplication of services

Your project does not duplicate work conducted by the City or another community organization.

Other funding

Your application provides evidence that your agency or organization will not receive duplicate funding from any other sources.

Program viability

Your project plan clearly states the actions you will take to achieve your goals and objectives. The project is realistic, logical and attainable in terms of timing and resources.

Program originality

Your project is original, feasible and can be undertaken by other groups or the City. The results of the project can be used as a demonstration guide for future projects. It should not duplicate any previously funded project.

Budget

All funding applications must contain a detailed budget.

Letter of agreement

All groups that receive funding throughout this program must sign and adhere to a letter of agreement which will outlines the project evaluation and reporting requirements.

Number of applications

Only one application per organization will be accepted.
