Granting Conditions
- You must provide clear project goals and objectives.
- Grants will be provided only to programs, events or services that fall under the City's responsibilities.
- Grants are awarded for services, events or programs that are new or innovative.
- The project must demonstrate that it is a priority in the environmental context of the City.
- Grants must be used for the purpose for which they were awarded. Any change in grant use requires written notification to and approval by the CEPGP co-ordinator.
- All grant recipients must credit the City in their programs and promotional materials. City logos will be provided to all successful applicants.
- The awarding of a grant does not commit the City to continued support beyond the grant period, nor is it intended as a sustaining or operation grant.
- No pre-payments will be issued for CEPGP grants.
- Information on either the application form or the support material may become part of a
public document.
- Funds will not be awarded to an organization aligned with a political party or religious group.
- Grant recipients must provide project-progress and summary reports to the City as required.
- Photographs of the proposed project must be included in applications and the final report, showing the before and after periods.
- Grants will not be made to retire deficits. To be considered for funding, organizations in debt must include a deficit-management plan with their application.
- Applicants are encouraged to audit their financial records.
- Projects must be completed within the year the grant was awarded. Any changes to the project timetable must be approved by the CEPGP co-ordinator.
