Request for Project Proposals

Creating a cleaner, healthier environment for the entire planet may appear to be a daunting task at first, however, the commitment and action starts in our own backyard - with our community, our residents - and its positive rippling effect can span across our borders and waters.

The City of Ottawa wants to assist community groups and non-profit organizations - through the Community Environmental Projects Grants Program (CEPGP) - to meet our environmental objectives, in such areas as:

  • Solid waste diversion
  • Water efficiency
  • Wastewater management
  • Water environment protection
  • Sustainable development
  • Broader climate issues

For 2010, CEPGP has $50,000 in total funding available for community-based initiatives and non-profit organizations interested in improving and preserving our environment.
