Major ProjectsOttawa Builds 2009The City of Ottawa’s capital infrastructure program, referred to as Ottawa Builds, incorporates a broad range of infrastructure and construction activity and is represented by the City’s longer-term priorities. These include Ottawa Builds a Stronger Economy – for integrated road projects, renewal, long-term sustainability and job creation; Ottawa Builds Transit Services – for public transit improvements; Ottawa Builds a Cleaner Environment – for cleaner, greener and environmentally sustainable practices; and Ottawa Builds Liveable Communities – for healthy, safe and supportive neighbourhoods. The City is investing a total of $290 million in new and ongoing capital projects in 2009. Public ConsultationsPublic Consultations are an integral part of and managing City projects.
