Proposed Roadway Modifications


The City of Ottawa is constantly working to improve the operation and safety of the road and pedestrian network. These are the currently proposed roadway modifications:

Pursuant to By-law No. 2006–483, the City of Ottawa is providing notice to the public of its intention to approve roadway modifications at the following locations in accordance with the authority under By-law No. 2005–503:

Catherine Street and Metcalfe Street

  • Curb extension along the west side of Metcalfe Street, north of Catherine Street.

Eagleson Road and Romina Street

  • New northbound left-turn and bicycle lanes.
  • New southbound right-turn and bicycle lanes.

Merivale Road and Colonnade Road

  • New multi-use pathway on the north side of Colonnade Road.
  • Additional westbound left-turn lane.
  • Extension of southbound left-turn lane.

Richmond Road, 80 metres south of Seyton Drive

  • New accesses on the east side of Richmond Road.
  • New southbound left-turn lane.
  • Extension of southbound merging lane.
