How to Use the Parking Card
Using a Parking Card in a parking meter
- Insert the card into the angled meter slot.
Make sure the gold chip is on the left side, face-down.
- The parking meter will display the dollar value that remains on the card.
- Depending on the rate, the parking meter will begin to log pre-programmed time increments--at a cost of $0.25 each--until the card is removed from the slot. The cost will be debited from the card. Be sure to note the meter's maximum time limit: one hour for a meter with a grey top, and two hours for a meter with a green top.
- Remove the card when you have logged enough time or when the meter reaches its maximum.
