Motor Home ParkingThe City of Ottawa does not provide parking facilities in Municipal Parking lots for operators of Motor homes. Free parking is available at the locations indicated below and operators should confirm the presence of their vehicles on the private properties prior to leaving their vehicles. Operators must also adhere to the restrictions imposed by the property owners. Motor home operators should be cognisant of By-laws of the City of Ottawa regulating traffic and parking on highways. City of Ottawa By-Law 2003-530 Part “B”, Section 112No person shall park or leave any motor vehicle on private property without the consent of the owner or occupant of the property. City of Ottawa By- Law 2003-530 Part 2, Section 18Subject to subsections (5) and (10), no person shall park a vehicle exceeding six and one-half (6.5) metres in length or a school bus or permit a vehicle exceeding six and one-half (6.5) metres in length or school bus to remain parked on a highway at any time between 9:00 p.m. of one day and 7:00 a.m. of the next following day. Subject to the other provisions of this by-law, the provisions of subsection (4), stated above, shall not apply to vehicles exceeding six and one-half (6.5) metres in length or school buses parked on designated truck routes.
