Parking Permits

The City offers a variety of permits that will allow residents and business owners to park on city streets and rights-of-way, including:

• On-street Residential Monthly Parking Permits, which allow you to park on your local street up to 48 hours at a time and be excluded from overnight parking bans
    
• Small Business Identity Card Annual Parking Permit, which allows your delivery vehicle to stop up to 15 minutes in either a No Parking Zone or a Loading Zone
    
• Disabled Person's Parking Permit, which allows you to have special parking privileges in public parking areas and on public roadways
    
• Consideration Parking Permit, which provides you with short-term on-street parking under special circumstances, typically for a two-week period
    
• Temporary Encroachment Permits, which allow you to temporarily encroach onto City rights-of-way
    
• Visitor's Parking Permit, which allow your visitors to park on the street

Even if you have a parking permit from the City, you should ensure that you are familiar with the parking permit regulations and the general rules and regulations of the roads found in the Traffic and Parking By-law 2003-530.
