On-street Residential Monthly Parking Permits

Do not park where you see temporary “no parking” snow removal signs
On-Street Monthly Parking Permit holders that park where temporary "no parking" snow removal signs have been posted will be ticketed and towed to a nearby street.

The On-Street Residential Monthly Parking Program applies only within established zones in the City of Ottawa. To qualify for permit privileges, residents have to live in a zone that allows permit parking and can prove that they do not have access to off-street parking.

Residents may be granted a permit holder exemption from City of Ottawa traffic and parking by-laws to park up to 48 hours in the same spot and to be excluded from winter overnight parking restrictions from November 15 to April 1. Daytime or nighttime planned snow removal restrictions apply to all vehicles, including those with an On-Street Monthly Parking Permit.

The cost per vehicle per month is $52 + GST.

An annual permit is available for $582 + GST (a $42 savings).

Refunds will not be issued for a paid-period of less than one month (i.e. less than 30 days before the expiry date).

The cost of a replacement permit is $10 + GST
