March Road Reconstruction – Morgan’s Grant Way to 350 metres North of Old Carp Road
The City of Ottawa has completed the preliminary and detailed designs of March Road Reconstruction from Morgan’s Grant Way to 350 metres north of Old Carp Road. An Open House was held on June 17, 2009.
This open house provided an opportunity to review the drawings for the preliminary design work completed to date. The information available for review included plans presenting:
- Reconstruction of March Road between Morgan’s Grant Way and north of Old Carp Road
- Construction of Halton Terrace Extension and realignment of Old Carp Road
- Reconstruction of Klondike Road between Flamborough Way and March Road
- Proposed construction staging and traffic control
City staff and members of the consulting team were available to discuss the project and answer your questions.
Construction is scheduled to proceed in 2010-2011.
R.W. Tomlinson Ltd. is the General Contractor for the reconstruction of March Road between Morgan’s Grant Way and 350 metres north of Old Carp Road.
A preliminary construction schedule for the widening of March Road is as follows:
- New March Road northbound lanes, including new storm trunk sewer and new watermain to be constructed by late Fall 2010
- Interim traffic signals to be installed at Klondike Road and Maxwell Bridge on March Road by late Fall 2010
- Construct new southbound lanes and install final traffic signals spring/summer 2011
- All City contract construction of March Road and adjacent side roads complete by September 2011
