Old Ottawa South Area Traffic Management (ATM) Study

The City of Ottawa has initiated an area traffic management study to examine traffic concerns within the neighbourhood of Old Ottawa South Community. The objective of this study is to develop a comprehensive area traffic management plan, in accordance with the City's ATM Guidelines, for the Old Ottawa South to address traffic concerns raised by the Old Ottawa South Community Association (OSCA).

The intended study area includes the area bounded by Bronson Avenue, the Rideau Canal, Bank Street and the Rideau River. Traffic conditions within the study area will be examined in order to determine whether traffic management measures would be an appropriate means to address the concerns raised by area residents, and confirmed through the data collection.

Public Consultation

  • The first Public Open House (POH) for this study was held on April 28, 2010

The aim of this open house was to share the study area characteristics and key findings from the collected data, solicit input and feedback on the key issues within the primary study area, identify measures that hold promise, and confirm evaluation factors. (Open House No. 1 Display Boards)
