Youth on the Move is a partnership between City of Ottawa Parks and Recreation, Ottawa Bylaw and the Ottawa Police Service. This seasonal program runs each year from June to September.

Goals:

  • Develop solutions to youth issues that may be arising in parks and common meeting places
  • Deliver recreational activities and special events that encourage maximum youth participation
  • Link youth with existing community and recreation programs
  • Respond to youth issues using a front-line approach
  • Liaise with youth agencies and businesses, linking their services with the Youth on the Move program
