Next steps
Following the submission of your application, a City representative will connect with you to your application. Once the details are confirmed, you will receive an invoice via email for the tree dedication deposit. The deposit must be paid to secure your tree dedication planting location and tree species.
Once the tree is planted, a second email (invoice) will be sent to the applicant for final payment. If applicable, a tax donation receipt will be sent to the payee for the tree dedication amount.
Tree Identifier
Each tree dedication will be tagged with a unique identification number. This tag will serve dual purposes: it will support the management of the City’s tree inventory and will allow sharing the exact location of the tree with family and friends via a mapping tool on Ottawa.ca.
Community Tree Dedication will be marked with a personalized black granite plaque supplied and installed by the City next to the tree.
