Job Summary

Assist in the review and analysis of designated accounts and the preparation of various financial reports.

Education & Experience

Post Secondary Student (completion of first year College or university): Business Administration/Accounting/Finance

Minimum of four (4) months but less than eight (8) months of related experience is required: Experience in a business and/or customer service environment

Language, Certificates & Licenses

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check to the City of Ottawa’s satisfaction.

English oral, reading, writing required.
French oral, reading, writing may be required for some positions.
Candidates must meet language requirement for position upon hire.

A valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s license (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated and own transportation may be required for some positions.


Knowledge of basic accounting and finance concepts and principles

Competencies & Skills

Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, SAP
