Job Summary

Assists the supervisor or designate in performing advanced level administrative functions as required, and providing friendly, helpful, and courteous service to clients or the public while providing appropriate information. May be required to assist the supervisor or designate in handling financial transactions as required.

Education & Experience

Post Secondary Student (completion of first year College or university):

Studies in a business or related field.

Minimum of one (1) year but less than two (2) years of related experience is required.

Language, Certificates & Licenses

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check to the City of Ottawa’s satisfaction.

English oral, reading, writing required.
French oral, reading, writing may be required for some positions.
Candidates must meet language requirement for position upon hire.

Knowledge


Generally accepted human resource policies and procedures.

Competencies & Skills

Effectively communicate, orally and in writing, including participating in meetings and presentations.

Advanced level of competence using computers.
