Welcome to TROtt! The Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa-Carleton (TROtt) is the capital region’s only therapeutic riding facility accredited by the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association (CanTRA). TROtt has provided therapeutic riding lessons and equine-assisted programming for children and adults with physical, developmental and learning disabilities for 48 years.
TROtt is situated on over 20 acres of beautiful pasture and trails with a fully accessible facility. Our barn contains 13 box stalls to care for and shelter our wonderful herd of horses. In addition, our large, well-lit, insulated and heated indoor arena provides a safe and calm environment for lessons. The arena includes a heated viewing area for parents and guests, as well as a classroom for additional programming. The arena footing is a rubber crumb and sand mix that allows for a more stable surface for individuals with a variety of disabilities. The outdoor arena and grass fields are a favourite spot for lessons in the summer.
As a registered not-for-profit organization, TROtt is fully dependent on the generous donors and sponsors in our community.
We welcome you to come visit our facility and learn more about us.
