Description

Cairn Cunnane’s whimsical benches are created from collected, recycled, rescued, found and donated materials. The two benches are a fluid collage of welded objects and forms inspired by themes of community and connections. More than just resting places, these benches are unique and inspiring works of art. Cairn Cunnane has been operating his own studio as an artist-blacksmith for more than a decade. Working with iron, bronze, stainless steel and aluminum, Cunnane uses blacksmithing techniques to shape, form and distort these various metals to create site-specific architectural and sculptural pieces.
