Community Food Advisor Program
Are you looking for a guest speaker for your community group?
Community Food Advisors are trained volunteers available to share their love of food and their knowledge about healthy eating and food safety to your community group.
What can Community Food Advisors offer your community group?
Food demonstrations, presentations, displays and other services are available to community groups of all ages and types. Some examples of exciting topics offered are:
- Quick, healthy lunches and snack ideas
- Tasty, low fat cooking
- Healthy eating on a budget
- Cooking with kids
- Proper hand washing procedures
- Eating Well with Canada’s Food Guide
- Cooking for one or two
- Health eating for healthy aging
- And much more!
Is it free?
The services of Community Food Advisors are free. You may, however, be asked to pay for food, supplies or parking needed for your request.
