Hiawatha Park splash pad

Project Status:
Underway

Overview

The old children’s spray post and pad in Hiawatha Park is being replaced under the lifecycle replacement program with an updated splash pad. The new splash pad has been relocated within the park to allow for the extra space needed to meet current standards. The old post and pad will be reinstated as a hard-surface play area with painted lines for hopscotch and other children’s games. The community is invited to provide comments on the proposed concept plan, as shown below.

Construction is scheduled over the summer season of 2019, with the splash pad being fully operational in 2020. All other areas of the park will be available for use during construction.
