Cummings Avenue Area Traffic Management Study (Montreal Road to Donald Street)

Project Status:
Underway

Notice of Study Commencement

Online Consultation: June 15 to 30, 2017
ottawa.ca/cummingsavenue

The City of Ottawa has initiated an area traffic study along Cummings Avenue between Montreal Road and Donald Street.  The study will look at the road conditions from the perspective of all road users, including pedestrians, cyclists, drivers and adjacent property owners.

The study was launched to address concerns raised about aggressive driving and safety of pedestrians and bicyclists.  The objectives of the study are to:

  • Assess the traffic related concerns of local residents
  • Develop and evaluate possible solutions where warranted
  • Recommend a preferred plan of action.

An open house will be scheduled in the fall to update residents on the study findings and to review possible options to address the reported concerns.  At the meeting we will also be presenting display boards containing optional scenarios for treatment of the study area.

Thank you for your participation in this process.
