February 11, 2020
Announcements and Events

Nothing to do on Family Day? Well, you can round up your family, grab your skates and helmets, and head to the Mayor’s Family Day Skating Party at City Hall on Monday, February 17, from 11 am to 2 pm.

Enjoy the final day of Winterlude by taking a skate on the refrigerated ice surface on the Sens Rink of Dreams. Mascots, including Spartacat, will be on-hand to take in the outdoor fun.

You can also warm up inside City Hall and take part in our many activities and programs, including:

  • Amphibian and creepy crawly creatures at Ray’s Reptiles
  • Science demonstrations from the Museum of Science and Technology
  • A one-hour Governor General Footguard Band concert in the Council Chambers at noon
  • A gymnastics display by TRYumph Gymnastics Academy

Complimentary soup from OGGI Marketplace, gelato from Boccato, hot chocolate from Tim Hortons, cotton candy, and popcorn are also available.

Family Day is a special day to spend time and appreciate your family and loved ones. Mark this special occasion by remembering the people and families in our community who need a helping hand. Bring a non-perishable food item or make a monetary donation to the Ottawa Food Bank. Make it a special Family Day for everyone.
